Dixie Awards

“Dixie Awards” has been a traditional part of student life at Dixie State for decades, and recognizes the accomplishments of DSU students, faculty, staff, community members and businesses who have been extraordinary in their commitment to DSU.  As a formal event patterned after the Academy Awards, this annual ceremony recognizes the best and brightest at Dixie State University and these awards are considered some of the most prestigious offered on our campus.

Dixie Award nominations may be submitted by anyone, and only one nomination is necessary to qualify an individual for consideration within a category.  However, to be considered, all nominations must include required field information so the nominee may be contacted for interviews and question submission as necessary.

The annual nomination period is open from March 16th at 8 a.m. to April 1st at 4:00 p.m., and the actual Award Ceremony is traditionally held the evening prior to commencement.  For 2016, the Dixie Awards Ceremony will be held Thursday, May 5th at 7:00 p.m. in the Eccles Mainstage Theatre.
